Matter Made has never been a typical marketing agency. Their team is made up of field-tested veterans who have navigated multiple industry shifts, adapting to new channels, technologies, and trends while remaining grounded in strong strategy and real-world experience.

Operating at the intersection of legacy expertise and modern technology, Matter Made built a reputation for sharp thinking and execution. Over time, however, their visual identity no longer reflected the depth of that experience. As the company evolved, the brand stopped communicating the authority and premium positioning that defined their work.

the challenge

Matter Made needed a brand that honored its history while embracing the future it was actively shaping. The existing identity felt dated and understated in a competitive space dominated by modern, fast-moving tech brands.

The redesign needed to address several key challenges: expressing deep experience without feeling old-fashioned, communicating authority without rigidity, and creating a system that could scale across digital and offline touchpoints.

At the core of the project was one guiding question:

“What does a brand look like when it blends legacy with modernity?”

the solution

The process began by respecting what already worked. The original logo and signature red were initially preserved, allowing the brand to evolve naturally. As the system developed, the logo was refined to be cleaner and bolder, maintaining familiarity while increasing impact.

Typography became a defining element. The original editorial-style typeface was elevated through refined layout and spacing, reinforcing a modern-retro tone that balances authority and personality.

The color palette was streamlined around the signature red, paired with warm cream and deep black. These colors shift between accent and background roles, creating contrast and rhythm across applications.

Animations were designed to be intentional and memorable, enhancing the brand without distracting from the message.

To support long-term consistency, a comprehensive library of custom assets was delivered. From icons and illustrations to web visuals, slide decks, ad templates, swag, and stationery, Matter Made received a complete, scalable toolkit backed by clear guidance and ongoing collaboration.
