Fixed-Scope Engagements
FAQ
We have the answers.
At NBD, we believe that good design should move people, inspire action and deliver tangible results. We know how to achieve all of this for you and your business, not just through our creative prowess or our decades of experience, but through our efficient business practices and a fool-proof process that will get your projects across the finish line and make waves in your industry.
Also, unlike the majority of our competitors, we offer complete medical and mental health benefits for all of our team members. We believe that healthy, happy, creatives are able to produce the best work for our clients.
We have personalized plans that fit your creative needs. The key to defining your plan is knowing the specifics on the amount of work required and understanding the types of services you'd like to access.
If you need help with production, marketing design and some push on webflow, one of our retainer plans is the way to go. Our plans include presentations, ads, eBooks, whitepapers, event collateral and numerous additional design services.
For Branding, Web Redesign and Development, signing up for a fixed-scope plan would be best.
A Retainer plan gives you access to your creative team at NBD on a continuous basis. Leverage our creative expertise and organizational prowess to keep all your projects and campaigns on track throughout the year.
A Fixed-scope plan is the best solution for your branding, web design, and web-development projects. These are projects that have a fixed scope and timeline, ensuring you launch your brand or web refresh at the right time.
At the end of your Fixed-scope project, you can choose to switch to a Retainer plan and continue to use our creatives to maintain your new-found momentum.
Our billing and invoicing practices are simple and straightforward. We’ll invoice you quarterly, and you can pay via any major credit card provider. Be sure to read our [PAYMENT TERMS] for more details.
To ensure a smooth and fruitful creative process, we need:
For retainer plans:
- Brand guidelines
- First project
- Possible pipeline to define who will be the best fit design wise
For branding projects:
- Existing brand guidelines
- Brand personality, values, mission and vision
- Brand tone and voice
- Inspiration and references of where you want to take the brand toward
- Main competitors
For web design & development:
- Sitemap (pages that will form part of the site)
- Copywriting (we can provide this service)
- Brand guidelines, including tone and voice
- Website references or what you aim to be in the future
- Integrations and features the site should have.
If you don’t have one or more of these documents, don’t worry! At NBD, we know how to take charge and we can create them for you. Get in touch with us and let’s chat about all of it.
Our onboarding process is designed to ensure we can start work right away.
We'll kick things off with a call where you'll get to meet your project manager and main point of contact at NBD who will introduce you to our ways of work and processes.
Working with us is always easy, transparent and efficient. You will get access to your own Asana project, your own channel on our Slack so that you can communicate with our team in real time, and you will get regular Loom updates to get a complete picture of the status of your projects.
We will present all design, branding, and web projects via Figma, so that you can see how your project is taking shape and so that you can follow our work. For copywriting, we will share Google Docs with you or we will share the new copy directly in the Figma design.
We also offer weekly or biweekly follow-up calls to go through feedback on ongoing projects or to review upcoming briefs.
There are many ways to communicate with us and submit your feedback on deliverables. For copywriting, you’ll be able to comment directly in the Google Docs we share with you.
You can submit your feedback on design projects via Asana, Slack, and email directly to your project manager.
All your projects include up to two revisions. To ensure we limit the amount of back and forth and keep your projects moving forward, we need to:
- Create a detailed brief and have clear instructions from the start.
- Make sure you gather consolidated feedback from your team during every revision.
Every design project is different and has a unique set of requirements. Luckily, we work fast at NBD and we do everything we can to meet your deadlines. Your assigned project manager will communicate all design timelines with you in a timely manner so that you can plan your campaigns accordingly.
You can upgrade at any time, just let your project manager know!
If you need any other specialized service, make sure to reach out to your PM, who will guide you through the best solution available for you.
If you wish to downgrade, you can do so upon the renewal of your contract (at the end of its active term). This action requires an account review meeting, taking place quarterly or annually depending on your contract.
